”It's what I always wanted to do:
to show the laughter, the fun – the joy of dance.”
My name is Csaba Polgar, I’m the principal dance teacher at the Style Dance School.
I graduated as a ballroom and Latin American dance teacher at the Hungarian Dance Academy in 2000 and in 2005 I was awarded my master's degree in Management of public Education at the University of Szeged. I'm also a qualified adjudicator for ballroom and Latin American dances and for modern dances (salsa, argentine tango, swing, mixing blues, mambo, hip-hop, disco, electric boogie, show dance).
I have an enhanced CRB checked dance teacher.
I won 24 amateur ballroom and Latin American dance competitions,
including 4 Hungarian national title in different categories.
After graduating I decided to continue my career as a professional dance teacher. I regularly attended competitions as an adjudicator or a coach.
I have over 25 years experience in teaching dance to all ages and abilities. I established my own first Art and Dance School in Hungary in 2002. We started the first term with 40 students and in 2007 we had over 460 students. I'm very proud of the achievements of my school's teachers and students.
In 2008 7 of our students became world champions in Germany in the small group hip-hop category and several former students of my school achieved great results in their later dancing careers,
e.g. became Hungarian Champions and World Championship finalists in ballroom formation dances.
Due to my son's life threatening illness I had to relocate with my family to England in 2009.
I have established my dance school in 2012 here, in the UK and I hope that you will be my next student!
I have extensive experience in working with competitive dancers, I choreographed several first dances for proms of colleges, and I particularly enjoy teaching wedding dances for couples, making their big day even more special. I created dance choreographs for New Year Concerts of Hodmezovasarhely working closely together with the conductor of the Big Brass Band and the band itself and I worked with the amateur art festival finalist social dance formation team.
My biggest achievement in my career though is the more than 10 000 smiling face of pupils who enjoyed learning dance in my classes.
